As
a certified grant-giving and operational institution
that meets Western standards, the Foundation
for Democratic Initiatives (FDI) strives to
ensure the highest level of transparency and
accountability within its own organization.
In an effort to lead by example, FDI publishes
its annual report in hopes that other local
and regional organizations will follow suit,
maintaining similar standards of financial
transparency.
At the same time, the report provides FDI
grantees, donors, and partners with information
about the foundation’s activities over
the past year.
This includes success stories from coordinated
activities with its partners; the results
of anti-corruption, public policy , advocacy
, and community improvement projects implemented
by its grantees; and financial statements
disclosing its income, expenses, assets, and
liabilities.
Moving forward, the annual report also provides
a short description of the issues FDI plans
to address in the future FDI hopes that its
annual report will provide an idea of its
past activities as well as a glimpse at its
future initiatives.
